Evelina Ochoa is a native of Ventura County and the daughter of Mexico immigrants. At a young age, her fam working parents instilled the foundation of always supporting her community. Evelina is an advocate for social change, strives for social justice and isn’t afraid to use her voice when she sees or feels inequality. As a teenager, Evelina discovered a passion for assisting underserved women while volunteering for a women’s health center. She became an advocate for women’s health and continues to create awareness.
Evelina joined WEV in 2013 and has over 15 years of non-profit experience in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. She is also part of a family owned restaurant and uses her business acumen to advance WEV’s mission. As WEV’s Training Program Manager and Women’s Business Center (WBC) Director, Evelina is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality training to WEV’s clients, and managing the outreach and administration of these programs.
Evelina resides in Ventura and on her spare time enjoys cycling and volunteering for World Central Kitchen.
