How it Started

Jeanne Sikoff launched Zander’s Game House in August 2016, inspired by her desire to forge deeper connections within her community while creating a lifestyle that allowed her to spend more time with her young son. Jeanne envisioned a welcoming space where people of all ages could come together to connect, play, and make memories. That vision came to life in the form of Zander’s Game House, an inviting hub built around the joy of board games and the power of community.

Work with WEV

Jeanne’s journey with Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV) began through a referral from her Business Coach, Erin Samaniego. Jeanne quickly discovered that WEV’s support went far beyond business advice. Through coaching, Jeanne was empowered to shift her mindset—learning to see fear and anxiety not as weaknesses, but as natural parts of growth.

“That fear and anxiety are our biggest obstacle. Once we learn that it is a natural part of the human experience… we can put things into proper perspective and believe that anything is possible.”

This new perspective helped Jeanne move forward with clarity and confidence, even during the most uncertain times.

“The professionalism and knowledge of the staff and coaches and the quality of WEV’s services are top notch.”

What's Next

By late 2024, Zander’s Game House had become so popular that its 2,000-square-foot space could no longer accommodate the growing demand. Jeanne often had to turn away reservations, limiting the business’s ability to serve its thriving community. In early 2025, she took a bold step forward—doubling the size of the game house by expanding into the neighboring vacant salon. With 4,000 square feet now available, Zander’s hosts tournaments, parties, and community events with ease, further enriching the lives of its guests.

“Building and growing my business has been a thrilling, sometimes scary, but always rewarding, experience!”
