Women’s Economic Ventures recently received a $7,500 operating grant from Comerica Bank to support the nonprofit organization’s Self Employment Training program in Ventura County.
The program gives both women and men skills to start their own businesses and support themselves, their families and the community, said Marsha Bailey, founder and chief executive officer of Women’s Economic Ventures.
Cindy Tran, market manager for the bank, said the bank wanted to contribute to the success of WEV’s programs and services that “are critical to help build economic and social equity and the sustainability of our community.”
