Women’s Economic Ventures’ offers new membership program to benefit business owners as they start and grow their businesses.
Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, March XX, 2008 – This month Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV) is launching a new membership program, WEV Got Business, that will benefit hundreds of entrepreneurs as they launch and grow their business ventures. The program offers member rates for advanced training, business counseling, coaching and business expo opportunities. This new program evolved from WEV’s former membership and networking organization, W!. New members will join an existing network of entrepreneurs and enjoy a more comprehensive set of business services designed to support establishment and expansion of their business ventures.
WEV has proven success with its training, business services and capital programs for clients. Four years of follow-up surveys with a random sample of clients who participated in at least 10 hours of WEV programs the prior year demonstrate the following outcomes on average:
This is impressive list is just a sample of outcomes achieved by WEV clients with the support of WEV programs!
Charter Membership in WEV Got Business is just $100 in 2008. Members who participate in each of the programs that offer member rates just once during the year will benefit from $399 in savings as a result of their $100 investment in a membership.
WEV developed the WEV Got Business membership program in response to the emerging needs of WEV’s clients and local business owners to access comprehensive resources to address their individual needs as they launch and grow their ventures.
“WEV Got Business is designed to meet each client where they are and support growth in their business from that point,” said Angel Cottrell, WEV Client Services Director. “WEV is well known for helping women overcome obstacles to starting their business using our 14-week Self-Employment Training program and curriculum,” she explains, “When clients are not, yet, in business, they have similar needs for information on business start-up, marketing, cash flow and how to write a business plan. By the time entrepreneurs have been in business for a few years, they have individual needs that are very specific to their businesses. WEV Got Business is designed to give them affordable access to advanced training, counseling, coaching and other programs when they need them.”
