Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program
Become a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firm and bid on contracting opportunities with the Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District (MTD), including graphic design services, advertising, landscaping, computer training, etc. DBE firms are small businesses with primary minority or woman ownership (50%+). Contact MTD if you believe your firm may qualify for certified DBE status. MTD will assist you in applying for DBE certification.

Membership Discount for WEV Graduates VCPWN (Ventura County Professional Women’s Network) is offering all WEV graduates and participants 50% off their first year of membership.
Guests are invited to attend twice before deciding if the VCPWN is a good fit. Dinner meetings take place on the second Thursday every month (except December) from 5:30 to 8:15 PM at the Wedgewood Banquet Center in Ventura. Cost of dinner for guests is $38.

Last month, WEV graduate Bonnie Wiley celebrated her one year anniversary since starting Primrose Excursions! With over 18 years of experience, Bonnie designs, fun, creative travel experiences for adults. Upcoming trips include excursions to the Hollywood Bowl, wine tasting in Paso Robles, and as far as Costa Rica!
