National Women’s Small Business Month

Join us in celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month during the month of October! It is also the 25th Anniversary of the Women’s Business Ownership Act, which created the Women’s Business Center (WBC) program. WEV’s WBC is proud to offer the Self-Employment Training course in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

Share Your Expertise and Inspire Our Budding Entrepreneurs!

Each season, guest speakers for WEV’s Self Employment Training and Business Plan Intensive course provide a unique and enriching experience for our clients by volunteering their valuable time and expertise with our budding entrepreneurs. Topics range from Promotion and Advertising to Business Finances.

Hearing directly from local resources provides our clients an opportunity to connect with professionals who can help them write a successful business plan. If you are interested in volunteering, visit our syllabus page where you can download an agenda and talking points specific to your area of expertise. Contact our Santa Barbara Program Coordinator, Karly Dowling, or our Ventura Program Coordinator, Leticia Sandoval, for more information.
