SET Clients Fine Tune Their Business Plans

SET 10BWith three weeks until graduation, Self-Employment Training clients gathered for their second Saturday session of the 14-week course. They worked with consultants to fine-tune their business plans and learned about the long-term support WEV offers.

Citi Foundation Commits $50,000 to ‘WEV en Español’ Program

CitiFoundationThank you to the Citibank Foundation for supporting WEV en Español with a $50,000 grant! The funding will be used to support WEV’s Spanish language entrepreneurial development program that provides business training and microloans to primarily low-income, Spanish-speaking residents in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. whistle club 2SET client Rebecca McKinney has opened the Whistle Club, in Santa Barbara’s Paseo Nuevo shopping center. For the Santa Barbara woman who feels she must to drive to Los Angeles to find great shopping, Whistle Club will be a tremendous time-saver and blessing. The boutique opened its doors in March and showcases a tightly curated assortment of women’s apparel, accessories and gifts from a thoughtful selection of emerging designers and industry favorites.
