Meet Liseth Gonzalez!
Liseth Gonzalez is WEV’s new bilingual loan officer who will be working with the program team to establish and grow WEV’s lending program, with a special focus on WEV’s Spanish Program. She is eager to support WEV clients through all stages of the lending process and build community relations to drive WEV’s program growth. Welcome Liseth!

The SUPER Women’s Networking Luncheon
You have worked hard to build your business. Take time out to share what you do best in a beautifully supportive atmosphere. This group meets on the last Wednesday of the month.
The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program offers free tax help to people who make $52,000 or less and need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals in local communities. Advance level tax preparers are also available for self-employed.

“An Evening in Spain” benefiting WEV!
Help us celebrate the joy of bringing women owned businesses to life as we present a fundraiser and cooking demo with wine pairing. Join us as Chef Amy Tyrrel of Morsels as You Wish demonstrates seven traditional Spanish dishes that participants will sample, each magically paired with just the right wine. All proceeds go directly to support WEV’s programs!

Thank you Citibank Foundation!
Thank you to the Citibank Foundation for supporting the WEV en Español program with a $50,000 grant in 2014. Funds will be used to provide Spanish Self Employment Training and micro loans to primarily low-income Latino entrepreneurs in both Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
Kim Maxwell of Kim Maxwell Studio was awarded the 2014 “Spirit of Ojai Valley Award” just last week! The studio has just been open for 6 months and is already receiving major recognition in the community. If you have ever met Kim, you wouldn’t be surprised. You can read more about Kim here. Live in Style Concierge launched!
Recently launched, Live In Style Concierge in the Ojai Valley is a lifestyle management company offering home preparation, personal assistance, errand services, event planning and organization, transportation and excursion coordination.
