Many WEV managers and alums have participated in this dynamic program! Through skills training and group projects, participants learn and practice communication, team building, facilitation, conflict resolution, public speaking, consensus building, and information gathering skills.

Graduates complete the program with the following:
• A better understanding of the issues facing our community
• Networking opportunities with a wide variety of local leaders
• Specific leadership skills to help you become a more effective leader
• The confidence to make positive changes in both your personal and professional life

The 9 month course meets all-day on the second Friday of the month. Cost is $1250 and a certain number of 50% scholarships are available.

Applications are due by August 23rd, and the course starts Sepember 26th! Click here for more information.

A Free Informational Happy Hour will be held on August 8th, from 5-7pm at Blush Restaurant & Lounge, 630 State St., Santa Barbara for people who want to learn more about participating in this exciting program. For more info and to RSVP for the Happy Hour, contact Lori LaRiva at recruitment@leadsb.org.

Learn More About Your Business’s Financial Strengths and Vulnerabilities

Take this 5-minute survey to learn more about your business’s financial strengths and vulnerabilities. When you complete the survey, you’ll be entered in a drawing to win a prize in the form of a reward card, issued by MasterCard, with a value of $100.

If you own a business with fewer than 10 employees and less than $2 million in revenue, please click here to take the survey in your preferred internet browser or on your smart phone.

In addition to learning about your business, your answers will also contribute to a study by the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), a nonprofit organization that works to promote opportunity for US small businesses. The study will be a part of a larger effort to help small businesses reduce vulnerability and position themselves for growth.

If you have any questions about the survey or the study, you can contact: Kasey Wiedrich, Senior Program Manager at kwiedrich@cfed.org or (202) 207-0149, or  Lauren Williams, Program Manager at lwilliams@cfed.org or (202)  207-0131
