WEV Connects at Carlyle Salon
Thanks again to our community of business owners, donors, volunteers and staff who came to WEV Connects last night! WEV client business, Carlyle Salon–- an Old Hollywood style salon and style bar– hosted nearly 50 attendees and Genuine Bread Co provided tastings of their handmade rustic loaves. Thanks again!
WEV Spanish Workshops
In collaboration with the Rotary Foundation, we’re offering a series of four Spanish workshops in Ventura, providing training on the basics of starting a business such as marketing, financing and writing a business plan. Client of the Month: Valerie Velasquez
Valerie Velazques, a recent SET graduate, wanted to give savvy, conscious consumers a chance to make more meaningful exchanges. With her mission as momentum, she is launching “Meet Your Makers,” a sustainable design and artisan market that promotes solutions to today’s problems. Fall 2013 Business Training Courses: Registration Now Open!
If you know someone who wants to start a business, then be sure to share our Orientations with them–they might need a little nudge! Every week this month, we’re offering Orientations for Fall 2013 Self-Employment Training (SET) and Business Plan Intensive (BPI). We anticipate these business training courses will be full by the end of July! Orientations are free, hour-long sessions to learn about the resources available to entrepreneurs, and to test your readiness to enroll in one of our programs.
