Tell D.C. How Your Business is Doing

Small Business California is conducting its annual survey of all California small businesses. This survey is vital to take “the pulse” of small businesses in the State. 
 
Since 2004 this survey has been an important tool for educating elected officials and policy makers about the concerns and challenges faced by small business owners in California. The results are shared with policy makers and elected officials from Sacramento to Washington DC. 
 
This five-minute survey closes at the end of February! Click here to share your thoughts!

Spirit of Entrepreneurship Foundation 

 
Nominations are now open for the third annual Spirit of Entrepreneurship Awards, the most prestigious awards for women entrepreneurs in Santa Barbara County, which is open to any woman entrepreneur in Santa Barbara County!

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

 
The Housing Authority is currently providing financial literacy and free tax preparation for the community through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).
 
VITA is a FREE tax preparation service to families and individuals who earned less than $50,000 in 2012. Find the nearest center to you and learn more here. 

2013 Citi MicroEntrepreneurship Awards
