Dear Friend of WEV,

Sure, the weather is beautiful here on the Central Coast! But with organizations like the Hudson Institute (see below for WEV’s new coaching partnership) and the Women’s Festival (read on for how to attend this incredible event next month) in our backyard, is there any better place to be an entrepreneur?

-The WEV Staff

Do You Qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit?

It’s tax season and for millions of low-income taxpayers, tax refunds through the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) program provide a vital financial boost. To ensure that as many families benefit from the EITC as possible, Citi Community Development (CCD) has partnered with a number of non-profit organizations to develop a nationwide awareness campaign called Money Matters.

Available in both English and Spanish, the Money Matters publication provides clear and concise information about qualifying for the EITC and raises awareness of the IRS’s free tax preparation services through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
