WEV is Hiring!we're hiring

Would you or someone you know be a good fit to work at WEV? Several positions will become available between now and January 2014 — please visit our Jobs page to learn more!

Congratulations SET Fall 2013!

Last night, WEV celebrated the women and men who graduated from this Self-Employment Training (SET) course. Sixty-four graduates inspired friends and family as they delivered their elevator speeches to an audience of over 200. The ceremony was followed by a client expo, where graduates displayed their newly polished businesses for the first time. Congratulations, SET Fall 2013 Graduates; we can’t wait to see your progress over the next few months!

Spring 2014 Business Training Courses: Now Enrolling!

If you know someone who wants to start a business, then be sure to share our Orientation info with them–they might need a little nudge! Our classes function on a first-come, first-served basis , and they’re filling up, so click here for more information on our December orientations!

Share Your Expertise and Inspire Our Budding Entrepreneurs!

Each season, guest speakers for WEV’s Self Employment Training and Business Plan Intensive course provide a unique and enriching experience for our clients by volunteering their valuable time and expertise with our budding entrepreneurs. Topics range from Promotion and Advertising to Business Finances.

Hearing directly from local resources provides our clients an opportunity to connect with professionals who can help them write a successful business plan. If you are interested in volunteering, visit our syllabus page where you can download an agenda and talking points specific to your area of expertise. Contact our Santa Barbara Program Coordinator, Karly Dowling, or our Ventura Program Coordinator, Leticia Sandoval, for more information.
