Act Quickly: Limited Space Available in Ventura’s Self-Employment Training Course

WEV’s Self-Employment Training programs will begin on September 1st!  If you, or someone you know, are interested in writing a business plan for an existing business or an idea you have, come to a free orientation to learn about how WEV can support you.

We are excited to announce that our Santa Barbara classes are full, but we have a few spaces available in Ventura and Oxnard so click here to sign up for an orientation today!


WEV Connects at SpiceTopia

SpiceTopiaOn Wednesday, August 13th, SpiceTopia owner and WEV client Ashley Pope, along with WEV staff, welcomed over 50 attendees to the WEV Connects mixer in downtown Ventura! The event included Spanish translation and attracted WEV clients, supporters and members of the community hoping to network, with a large selection of teas and spices in the background! Delicious appetizers were provided by another WEV client, Santa Cruz Mexican Cuisine. We hope to see you at the next WEV Connects event in 2015!

Thank You For Your Feedback!

Thank you to all of our clients who took time out of their busy schedules to talk to us during our annual client outcomes research project this summer. Your feedback helps make WEV better! In all, we interviewed 220 clients and achieved a 71% response rate – the highest since 2010!! Stay tuned as we’ll be sharing some of our findings in a future issue.

Women Lawyers of Ventura County (WLVC) invites you to attend their Eighth Annual Scholarship Dinner and Silent Auction.  This evening will honor Legacy Award Recipient, keynote speaker, and WEV Founder, Marsha Bailey.
