Financial Help on the Way for Small Business Hit by Recent Disasters (KEYT Video)

(October 27, 2018)   SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Some financial help is now available for small business owners economically impacted by the Thomas Fire and Montecito Mudslide.

Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV) in Santa Barbara is offering $450,000 worth of grants to eligible businesses in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

The money was donated by Wells Fargo for recovery grants of up to $10,000.

Examples of economic hardship include:

-Lost revenue due to closures and/or changed and disrupted customer patterns
-Suspension of operations
-Plant, property, and equipment damages
-Damaged inventory
-Other direct/indirect costs relating to the disasters

WEV is accepting applications until November 16 or until 150 applications are received.
