Adrian was already self-employed when he came to WEV; he worked as a contract welder constructing gates and fences all over Santa Barbara County. However, he was a taquero when he lived in Mexico City and had always liked working with food. Although he enjoyed welding, Adrian always hoped to bring the authentic flavor of Mexican food to California’s Central Coast. After taking the WEV Spanish SET course in 2006, a restaurant became available and he decided to buy it and own the restaurant he always wanted. With hard work, Adrian has been able to overcome many challenges along the way and is now running his restaurant and two catering/food trucks with the hope of expanding!
