Ventura County native Berenize Ayala recently joined WEV as the Thrive Program Coordinator supporting the small businesses she knows and loves. Berenize has previous experience working in the nonprofit sector and higher education, including networking and collaborating with local businesses to assist with recruitment and hiring. This connection sparked her interest in working more directly with entrepreneurs. Berenize earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the California State University of Channel Islands in May of 2017. Berenize takes a lot of pride in her work; her previous experience working with nonprofits and local businesses gives Berenize the ability to help member’s thrive and feel empowered in their business.
