Tailored Group Support for Emerging Businesses
As a graduate of WEV’s Self-Employment Training or Business Plan Intensive course, you had the support and guidance of your instructors and classmates throughout the course - what next?! Being in business for yourself can be lonely. Many clients have given feedback about needing continued support and structure after graduating from SET or BPI, during the critical time they are preparing to launch (or have recently launched) their business.
If you haven't yet launched your business, run a part-time business, are still employed while running your business, or have launched your business full-time within the last year, Roundtables will provide the education, feedback and accountability you need to continue moving forward.
Roundtable sessions begin quarterly - each January, May and September - so you can look forward to immediate support and accountability after graduating, and all year round. Roundtables are open to anyone, regardless of whether or not you've previously received WEV services.
Logistics
- Limited to 8-15 clients per Roundtable
- Participants select topics for discussion.
- Topics include: Your support structure, Barriers/fears holding you back, Time management/Being your own boss, Funding the business, Personal versus business finances, Getting serious about cash-flow projections, Developing and budgeting marketing strategies, Leveraging social media, Sales, Where and how to effectively network, Building and sustaining confidence, Work-life balance, Working “on” versus “in” the business, New product/service development, Knowing what and when to delegate, Are my marketing strategies working?, Website development, Tax issues, Personal versus business finances, Financial control and tracking
- Structured to address topics at beginning of session, plus allow each participant time to receive group feedback on their particular issues
- Participants walk away from each session with action items to move forward with their business

Cost
The total cost to register for a Roundtable is $125. (Roundtables meet once a month for 3 hours over a 4-month period.)
Please note the following policies:
- No switching between Roundtables or refunds if absent, you must stay with the same group throughout
- Cancellation: Partial refunds (your payment less a $25 administrative fee) are available up to the day before the first Roundtable. No refunds are available after the first Roundtable.
- Full refunds given if group does not reach minimum enrollment
