Twenty people from Santa Maria and the North County area were among 94 men and women who celebrated their completion of the Women’s Economic Ventures’ English and Spanish language Self-Employment Training programs at ceremonies May 19.
Graduates of the courses held in Santa Maria, Santa Barbara and Ventura County were honored at the ceremony and exposition of WEV client businesses at Fess Parker’s Doubletree Resort in Santa Barbara. WEV’s flagship self-employment program provides 14 weeks of training in finance, leadership skills, marketing and more to help new entrepreneurs launch a business and existing owners grow their businesses. |
