Rising Stars

Rising Stars are WEV clients (SET graduates and SBLF recipients) who would like to give back to WEV through active participation in Program and Development activities.

What's in it for you?

• Opportunities to build relationships with other WEV graduates

• A select group of Rising Stars, Rising Star Leaders, will have leadership development opportunities

Do you have what it takes?

• Have you completed a business plan?
• Are you willing to wear professional attire when appropriate?
• Are you comfortable sharing your entrepreneurial history?
• Are you willing to extend WEV invitations to friends and colleagues?

Rising Star Roles

• Story Teller (small group) - share your entrepreneurial history at WEV events with groups ranging in size from 3-10.
• Story Teller (large group) - share your entrepreneurial history at WEV events with groups ranging in size from 25-300.
• Development Volunteer - Help staff one or more development events such as luncheons or Thank-a-thons. 
• Program Volunteer - Present to SET classes as a guest speaker and/or guest consultant.
• Marketing Volunteer - share your entrepreneurial history and a photo for use in WEV marketing materials.
• Gift Basket Contributor - Product business owners willing to have their product included in WEV gift baskets.
• Rising Star Leader - Lead group of Rising Stars and participate in leadership development opportunities.
