Grant Writer

WEV seeks a part-time grant writer who will assist the Director of Development with fundraising through grant writing, reporting, research, and grant process management. Some of the grant writer's responsibilities include:

  • Grant research and writing utilizing annual Grant Plan. Research foundations with potential to provide funding.
  • Management of grant process and deadlines
  • Participate in and provide feedback for strategic annual grant planning
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Development

Qualifications include:

  • Strong computer skills
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Three to five years minimum experience in grant writing
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and write several grants concurrently and meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Controller/Office Manager

Full-time Controller/Office manager who will provide accounting/financial systems management and office/HR administration. Responsibilities include:

  • All financial and accounting systems in accordance with GAAP
  • Lead annual budget process
  • Continuous improvement of accounting and financial policies and procedures and the development of team goals to achieve best practices and optimal output
  • Coordination of office services, equipment, systems
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications include:

  • Software expertise in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and QUickBooks Pro
  • BA in accounting or equivalent experience as full-charge bookkeeper/accountant
  • Knowledge of GAAP, budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong analytical and communications skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy
