WEV Graduates Collaborate for Local Cause
Four fall 2009 graduates from WEV's Self-Employment Training Course are co-sponsoring a kid's art auction this Friday to increase awareness and raise money for healthy oceans. Joining with two local 3rd grade classes, the team taught an art lesson about conservation. The students' art has been transferred to canvas bags and, along with other gift items from local artists and businesses, will be auctioned off at the event on March 5th. Proceeds will go to the Surfrider Foundation. Come out to support a great cause, enjoy a glass of wine and take home a truly unique piece of art!

| FREE Income Tax Preparation through VITA
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program offers free tax help to low- to
moderate-income people (generally, $49,000 and below) who cannot prepare their own tax returns. Certified volunteers sponsored by
various organizations receive training to help prepare basic tax
returns in communities across the country. In addition to free tax return preparation assistance, most sites also offer free electronic filing (e-filing). Individuals taking advantage of the e-file program will receive their refunds in half the time compared to returns filed on paper - even faster when tax refunds are deposited directly into one's bank account.
