WEV's Think BIG Conference & Business Expo a Success!
Invest in yourself.
Learn new skills.
Grow your business.
This promise held true last Friday, June 27th, as sixty participants convened at Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort for a memorable day of learning and networking. This powerful conference included two presentations, a panel discussion, and two breakout sessions from which to choose.
Lorrie Thomas kicked off the day breaking down the New Rules of Marketing, followed by Tracy LeBlanc sharing meaningful anecdotes to answer "the 3 questions every advertisement must answer." Four seasoned marketing experts - Juliana Minsky of SurfMedia Communications, Tea Silvestre of Social Good Marketing, Deborah Gallant of Web Power Tools, and Maggie Dennison of The Dennison Group) then shared their knowledge and best practices/lessons learned around advertising, marketing budgets, and measuring ROI of marketing strategies. After lunch, participants then chose one of two break out sessions, The Power of Web Marketing (Lorrie Thomas) or Market Your Niche Advantage (Tracy LeBlanc), and walked away with useful tools to implement the next business day. Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to network with presenters and explore expo tables. These included Ladies Who Launch, Sama Living, Citigroup, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Xocai Chocolates and RandHill Naturals.
*Stay tuned for information on WEV's next Think BIG conference, to be held on October 3rd at Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort in Santa Barbara.* | |

WEV's Client Art Gallery
June-July 2008
A locally well known artist, Colette Cosentino has worked and resided in Santa Barbara for the last 14 years. Her pastoral and serene landscapes are reminiscent of her childhood growing up in the rural Midwest. She attended the Art Institute in Denver, Colorado, graduating with an associates degree in Visual Communication. Shortly thereafter, Colette made her way to California, where she found the inspiration she needed to make a living as an artist. Her work has been seen twice in the nationally celebrated "House Beautiful" Magazine, "Cottages and Bungalows" and Santa Barbara Magazine. Her clients include President Bill Clinton, Ted Danson (actor), Mary Steinbergen (actress), John Saladino (Interior Designer), and Ty Warner, of Beanie Baby fame. Currently her work is on exhibit at the Dinan Main Gallery in Ojai, as well as the Women's Economic Ventures office in Santa Barbara. The work currently showing in the WEV office is that of a new modern/minimalist direction for Colette. You can view her traditional work online at colettecosentino.com, or visit the gallery in Ojai. |
