On a practical level, Carolin became an entrepreneur because she found herself as the sole breadwinner for her family and had to find a way to provide so they could eat and avoid eviction. But deeper than that, Carolin cared deeply about helping women transform their lives. She took WEV’s Self-Employment Training course in 2007 and turned her “expensive hobby” into a legitimate business as an author, speaker, and mentor. In 2012, she joined Thrive in Five and received a WEV Loan in 2013 to help her create her brand and launch a professional website. Her business has grown year after year and she has achieved the dream of providing for her family while pursuing her passion.
