Please be our guest at your local Self-Employment Training (SET) graduation ceremony. During the first part of the evening, we will recognize the clients that have completed our 14-week course, and award signature WEV pins to clients that turn in a complete business plan. Following the ceremony, enjoy a potluck and browse the client expo! Join WEV staff, SET graduates, their friends and family, and the community in celebrating these achievements!

The American Association of University Women in association with Women's Economic Ventures presents a panel discussion featuring Angel Cottrell, Client Services Director of WEV, and three local entrepreneurs who have become successful through training and financial services provided by WEV:

The purpose of the First Annual Navy, Business and Community Expo is to provide an annual forum that increases awareness of Naval Base Ventura County's impact on Ventura County among business, civic leaders and the community. The 2008 Marketplace will take place at the 18th Annual Gathering of the AEO National Summit, which brings together microenterprise organizations like WEV for training and networking. Salvatore Licitra, "the first super-tenor of the 21st century" (The Miami Herald) will perform at the newly renovated Granada on May 8 at 8pm. Arts & Lectures would like to offer all WEV clients the opportunity to see him for the special price of $10.
